Weather Looking Good for Saturday’s Multicultural Mother’s Day Festival

THE WEATHER looks like it will be magic for Saturday’s Mother’s Day Multicultural Festival to be held 10 am to 3 pm at the Broadwater Parkland on Marine Parade.

Seharum Nusantara spokesperson Thia Taylor said some people had been concerned that it might rain on Saturday.

“We were worried about the weather, but the Bureau of Meterology shows us this morning as as only a 20% chance of a few showers,” she said.

“And at a balmy 23 degrees, the Multicultural Mothers’ Day Festival will be really pleasant,” she said.

Mrs Taylor said activities for the day are mounting up rapidly as well.

“So far we have massage, eyebrows threading, henna tattooing, sand art, crafts for kids, a land train, jumping castle, free face panting, free children’s playground/activities, dance workshops and Tai Chi/Falun Gong workshops,” she said.

“There will also be a giant raffle, with the first prize being a Brisbane-Taipei-Brisbane return airfare with Eva Air.”
