Gold Coast’s First Multicultural Mothers’ Day Festival to Bring Parklands to Life TODAY

WITH FIFTEEN cultural activities and more than 30 stalls, today’s Mother’s Day Multicultural Festival will kick off at 10 am and will run until 3 pm at the Broadwater Parklands on Marine Parade.

Seharum Nusantara, a popular Gold Coast Indonesian non-profit cultural group, have organised possibly the largest Mothers’ Day event ever to be held on the Gold Coast.

Seharum Nusantara spokesperson Thia Taylor said activities and stalls for the day are world-class.

“With so many activities, the whole festival will be jam-packed with entertainment from start to finish,” she said.

Raffle prizes of a selection of hampers are worth getting a few extra tickets.

Thia said the raffles alone are worth a visit to the Broadwater Parklands today.

“Our star raffle prize from Eva Air is a return ticket from Brisbane to Taipei, valued at more than $1200.

“But we also have a great range of smaller prizes including:

  • Double pass tickets to Badminton Sudirman Cup 2017
  • Massage voucher
  • Facial voucher and
  • Hamper

“All in all we’ve got the makings of a brilliant Mothers’ Day celebration today at the Broadwater Parklands,” she said.
