Queensland Driver Dies in Freak Accident

A QUEENSLAND driver has died after being hit by a tow strap in what authorities have described as a freak accident.
Police say it appears the 26-year-old man hooked his vehicle to another vehicle before becoming bogged on a beach at Bangalee, near Rockhampton.
While he was driving the towing strap snapped, recoiled and hit him.
The tragic incident happened just after 5pm yesterday.
According to reports emergency services responded to a call within 10 minutes and tried desperately to revive the man via CPR, but he died at the scene.
